Vianet, in partnership with the Municipality of Killarney and the Federal Governments Universal Broadband Fund are happy to expand upon Vianet's fixed wireless internet to the Killarney area.
This expansion demonstrates Vianet's commitment to identify communities in need, work together with local organizations to help solve the rural broadband challenge and further develop our growing network in the Greater Sudbury District.
On the northern shores of Georgian Bay the need for improved internet keeps growing. This project would not be possible without the funding from the Federal Government's Universal Broadband Fund.
This upgrade to Vianet's existing network and our experience building fixed wireless internet across Northern Ontario's rugged terrain will provide better speeds and overall service for this rural town. This expansion will bring much needed reliable connectivity to both full-time residents and seasonal home owners.

The new 280 ft tower is located just off Highway 637 in the Municipality of Killarney, ON.
