We contact you via e-mail when your renewal is 90 days,
60 days, 30 days, and final reminder 5 days prior to
your renewal date. We will call you if we receive no
response by e-mail. You will also be contacted 120 days
prior to your renewal time to remind you to review your
WHOIS domain contact information, which will be sent
to you automatically.

When you register your domain with
Vianet, we will automatically lock your domain name
upon registration. This helps protect against unauthorized
activity such as domain name transfers to an alternate
registrar and nameserver changes. If you require your
domain name to be unlocked, you may contact us from
9am to 5pm (EST) Monday to Friday at 1-800-788-0363 x5214.
Please note that only the domain owner or person(s) previously
authorized by the domain owner can request a domain
name to be unlocked.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING RENEWAL REMINDER NOTICES
***Important: Some domain name companies monitor domain names coming up
for renewal and will attempt to contact you offering their services (a notice
may be sent to you by regular mail resembling and invoice). In order to renew
your domain through another company, this will require you to transfer your domain
away from Vianet. Transferring your domain can cause complications. Contact
your Vianet representative to be sure you are fully aware of the implications
before agreeing to any transfer. IF YOU RECEIVE ANY NOTICES THAT HAVE NOT COME
DIRECTLY FROM VIANET (all correspondence from us would have our logo present,
or would include our contact information), OR YOU ARE UNCERTAIN OF THE
SOURCE, PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED IN ANY MANNER WITHOUT CHECKING WITH US FIRST***
